What's Happening - Sessions!
The Carter Lake Resource Center Youth Groups are
continuing the themed "Sessions" this year The current Session's topic (Session III) will be "Lights! Camera! Action!" This Session started January 31st and will run through March 13th. In Session III we will be watching movies, critiquing characters, discussing roles and possibly even checking out a play. During this Session we will be role playing, story telling, acting and maybe even hosting an open mic. night. Sessions are open to all Carter Lake youth in 5th-6th grades and 7th-12th grades. All Carter Lake youth can participate in the Sessions (you don't have to be in a youth group to be involved.)
Other Things We Do! The Resource Center Youth Groups are also involved in planning and volunteering at community events that are held throughout the year. The Groups also do monthly service projects, which include doing the dishes at the Carter Lake Senior Center and helping with the Carter Lake Elementary school’s recycling. The Youth Groups do other volunteering projects in and out of town. Some of the projects include the Ronald McDonald House, National Youth Service Day, Carter Lake Adopt a Street Clean Up and other various volunteering projects.
