Prevention Coalition

The Carter Lake Prevention Coalition is comprised of community members from Carter Lake and community partners from Council Bluffs who meet regularly to guide the work of the Resource Center. Members of the coalition represent 12 sectors of the community including business, media, parents, youth, local government, law enforcement, education and the faith community. The coalition takes a pro-active approach to prevention by educating the public on substance abuse, treatment and  prevention methods, offering opportunities for youth to be engaged in pro-social, drug free activities and through community wide environmental strategies such as the Life in the C.L. social norms campaign.
